Sunday Morning Bible Classes: Join us for Sunday morning fellowship with coffee cake at 9:00 – 9:15 a.m. followed by Bible class. July 11th David Pattison will be sharing information on brain research, touching on the subject of Alzheimer's and ways to keep the brain active throughout life. Pastor Eberhart will lead an Adult Information Class in the Fellowship Lounge.
9th Sunday after Pentecost Sunday: Colossians 2:6-15: We became God's stewards when the Holy Spirit called us to be God's children through the washing of Holy Baptism and the word of salvation in Christ Jesus. In Christ God made us alive and gives us the power to use all that we are and have (time, life, relationships, skills and money) for His purposes. There is no greater calling in life than being a child of God in thoughts, words and actions!
Servant Event and Craft Morning sponsored by the women of LWML is scheduled for Saturday, August 14th, 9:00 am to 12:00 in the Fellowship Hall. Join in the fun of tying quilts for those hit by disasters or stuffing toys for children-in-crisis at K.U. Medical Center. No sewing skills required. All women are welcome!
The Endowment Fund Committee is taking applications for expenditure proposals for the coming year 2011. Forms are available in the church office and should be returned by July 31. Proposals should be endorsed by one of the church boards. Any questions, please contact Art Vogel, Ruth Ann Troop, Earnest Harris, or Kim Scott.
Lutheran Witness Subscription Renewal: If you would like to renew your subscription the cost this year for an individual will be $14.50. Make checks payable to Our Saviour Lutheran and mark "Lutheran Witness". If you would like to START a new subscription the price will be the same and let the office know that you wish to be listed on the renewal form. Deadline for submission August 12.
1st ANNUAL 'OSL' T-BONES GAME and TAILGATE: FRIDAY AUGUST 13, 2010 - Here's the plan......Meet at the Church to board the game bus at 5:20 p.m. The bus leaves the church at 5:30 in order to arrive at the T-Bones stadium at 6:00 p.m. Dave will have hotdogs, hamburgers, and other delicious tailgate food ready for us. Bring a lawn chair, your appetite, and your cheering voice to join the OSL Fan Club and to cheer the T-Bones to victory!!!

A Summer Bible Study Opportunity for All Adults - Pastor will be leading an adult Bible class based on his favorite Bible Stories. Please join him on Wednesday at 10:00 a.m. in the Fellowship Lounge. Class participants will have the opportunity to hear the scriptural story and then understand how the story that happened several centuries ago has application for daily life today. Starting in August pastor will lead "Secrets of the Kingdom". They are the "if you do this, the result will be ..." passages that lead us to victorious Christian living and witness.

August 18: The Matthew Mystery-Matthew 6
August 25: The Ephesus Emphasis-Ephesians 6
Because of a parenting class already scheduled August 11 and 18, the Bible study class will meet in the chapel using the entry door from the sanctuary so as not to disturb the parenting class in the lounge. On August 4 and 25 we will meet in the lounge.
Help Wanted! OSL Preschool is preparing for the coming school year. As we do this we need to ask for your help. In order to cut cost in the preschool budget volunteer aides are used to assist the teacher in the classroom. This year we are in need of 5 new helpers. Job requirements: A love of young children and a willingness to share your love for Jesus. Contact Donna Bottemuller if you are interested in volunteering just one morning a week.
From the pantry: The pantry needs for the month of July is toilet paper and soap for both laundry and personal care. The pantry needs bottled water to give out to our pantry patrons. Thank you for sharing!
The Rosedale Farmers' Market We're open today from NOON TO 3 P.M. Sunday at Southwest Boulevard and Rainbow Boulevard (SW Family Health Care). The market is equipped to accept EBT/SNAP and debit cards, and most vendors can accept Senior Farmers Market Nutrition Program benefits.
Lutheran Study Bibles are available in large and regular print. The cost for regular print is $34.99 and large print is $49.99.

The Nursery: (located downstairs) is now available for children up through age 5 during the Sunday School hour and 10:30 a.m. worship service. There will be a CPR-trained volunteers from the church to care for your children from 9am to 12 noon.
Call Committee: If you have a name of a pastor that you would like to be considered by the Call Committee please place that name either in Gary Galutia's mail box or in the envelope in the church office. Thank You.
SOUP LABELS who loves a good bowl of chicken noodle soup? We do! And guess what you can enjoy that soup and help the children at Our Saviour all at the same time. How you ask? Well, if you save those Campbell's soup labels (UPC intact) after you eat that soup and drop them off either in the box above the coat rack upstairs or you can leave them on the bookshelf outside the preschool room. We will then turn them in and receive sporting goods for the preschool and children's programs. We thank you for helping us stay healthy and fit.
MITES FOR MISSIONS - The fourth Sunday of each month the LWML of OSL will have a large Mite Box in the narthex as well as small boxes for you to take home. We invite you to take a box home, put your loose change in it, and say a prayer for supporting missions. Return the box the following month and place it in the large box. Mites are Mighty! Goal for 2007-2009 is $1.7 million to be distributed to 18 individual projects!
REMINDER: Members don't forget to pick-up your copy of the Church Council Minutes, located by mailboxes each month to keep you updated on current Church Council Board Minutes and their events. If all copies have been taken, please see church secretary and she will be more than happy to make you a copy.
ATTENTION THRIVENT MEMBERS OR ANYONE WHO LIKE TO HELP. Coffee Servers are needed after 10:30 service, First Sunday of every month from June through December. See sign up sheet on bulletin board across from mailboxes. Thank you!
NURSERY a friendly reminder that Our Saviour has a nursery available for those children 5 and under. Please see an Usher and they will assist you on any nursery matters. A cry room is also available in the back of the church for those who would like to see the service.
CARING MINISTRY now has available "SEAT CUSHIONS" located above the coat rack. Please feel free to use these for your comfort during services and return to the coat rack when done. Thank you.
REMINDER: recycling items, all paper, cans and aluminum items, please bring your recyclables to the rear of the church the 1st weekend of every month.
BOARD OF TRUSTEES: Are you handy with painting, landscapting, carpentry and minor repairs? If so, we need your help! The Board of Trustees meets the first Saturday of every month at 8:30a.m. We will work on projects and maintenance requests after each meeting. If you have any questions please contact Patty Spradlin, Chairman.

MUSICIANS NEEDED - Do you sing or play an instrument? If so, please consider joining the Saturday Service worship ensemble.
